First showcased at CES in January, Alienware’s inaugural 500Hz Fast IPS monitor was specifically tailored for high-performance gaming. The Dell subsidiary is now set to launch a specialized version of the display catering to individuals using AMD graphics cards.
Emphasizing its AMD FreeSync Premium and VESA AdaptiveSync certifications, Alienware underscores the monitor’s capability to deliver tear- and stutter-free gaming experiences. The AW2524HF boasts an impressively low latency response time of 0.5ms, effectively eliminating motion blur and ghosting effects as per Alienware’s claims.
Equipped with HDR10 compatibility and encompassing 99 percent sRGB color coverage, the monitor’s Fast IPS panel ensures consistent visuals from diverse viewing angles. Alienware further asserts that the TUV-certified ComfortView Plus hardware feature strikes a balance between mitigating harmful low blue light and maintaining true-to-life color representation.
The monitor includes a retractable headset hanger for added convenience and a hexagonal base that is height-adjustable, designed to optimize desk space utilization. In terms of connectivity, the monitor boasts two DisplayPort 1.4 ports, one HDMI 2.1 port, and five USB 3.2 cable slots.
The AW2524HF will be available for purchase on Dell’s website starting September 12th, priced at $650. Alienware is set to unveil pricing and availability details for the UK market at a later date.
