Samsung’s upcoming flagship, the Galaxy S24 Ultra, appears to be aiming to redefine storage capabilities, potentially doubling the maximum storage from its predecessor. However, it remains uncertain whether this increase in storage capacity will be accompanied by a corresponding boost in memory for the higher-tier variants.
The Galaxy S24 is shaping up as a blend of improvements and constants. While certain aspects like battery capacity and charging speed are set to remain consistent, other elements such as display specifications, telephoto camera capabilities, and screen real estate are expected to receive significant upgrades. Notably, it might be possible to expand the storage further, as per insights from a reliable source.
According to @Tech_Reve, a trusted tipster, the Galaxy S24 Ultra could offer configurations with an impressive 2 TB of internal storage. This places it on par with its chief rival, the iPhone 15 Pro Max/iPhone 15 Ultra. However, there is no mention of a corresponding increase in memory capacity for this particular variant. It’s worth considering the inclusion of a generous 16 GB of RAM, akin to the strategy Samsung employed with the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra, for the higher-end Galaxy S24 Ultra SKUs.
A prior Geekbench listing has already confirmed that the Galaxy S24+ will retain 8 GB of memory for its base variant. While the base Galaxy S24 is likely to follow suit, there’s anticipation that the Galaxy S24 Ultra would ideally elevate this figure to 12 GB. However, this still falls short of the 24 GB or even higher RAM capacities found in certain smartphones of Chinese origin, such as the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro, Redmi K60 Ultra, and Realme GT5.
